'I feel like a failure': Bethenny Frankel breaks down in tears as she opens up about divorce for first time

She played her marriage out in the public eye so now she has to do the same with heir divorce.
Real Housewives of New York Bethenny Frankel recently announced her plans to split from her husband Jason Hopper and her fans apparently are furious.
Her courtship and subsequent marriage to the 41-year-old businessman were the subject of two spin off reality shows but after just three years, the Skinnygirl entrepreneur is filing for divorce.

Speaking on the Ellen DeGeneres show on Wednesday, Frannkel became tearful.
She said: 'I can’t just only be on reality TV and show everything when it’s fairy princess, fairytale and then not take my hits when I have to.
'I’ve kind of had the best worst year ever … it’s the highs and the lows.'
Despite Ellen comforting her, the 42-year-old, who has a two-year-old daughter with Hoppy, couldn't hold back the tears as she spoke about the split.
She continued 'I feel like a failure.
'I really put it out there. I wanted the fairytale. I thought I had it.'

And while Bethenny says she feels frightened about the 'unknown future'  she is focused on 'moving forward'
She continued: 'The truth is, I wanted to rip the Band-Aid off so it could start to heal … I’m scared.
'I’m older. And I want to be able to say to people, "It’s about what I do now.'"
'I never thought I’d be a role model but I think to some people I am or have been.'
'So this is an important time, because it’s about what I do next.
'How I handle myself now with grace, with dignity. This is the time now that matters.'

Priorities: The mother-of-one insists that work an her daughter are what she will be focusing on

Bethenny also said reports speculating she chose her career over her marriage 'couldn’t be further from the truth'.
She said: 'This has kind of made me say to myself, "Oh my gosh, fame is a weird thing, maybe I want to get off the ride."'
Since her stint on the Bravo show, she has written four books, released a fitness video and founded her Skinnygirl line of cocktails, shapewear and nutritional supplements.

Bethenny then told Ellen she will continue with her daily talk show, taping it from the East Coast to be closer to her daughter Bryn and the rest of her family.
'It’s going to be a journey,' she said, 'and that’s going to get me through this too.'

Despite Bethenny claiming that the divorce is going to be civilised sourced told People magazine that the pair are gearing up for a 'battle' and the Hoppy feels 'used' by her.
The insider said: When you get on her [Bethenny's] hit list she'll do everything she can to destroy you.'
The source added: 'Right now Jason  is wondering if Bethenny ever really loved him at all.
'He feels used, as though he completely fell for something that may have been orchestrated to make her more famous.'
Other reports suggest that Bethenny just used Hopper for a baby.
Us Weekly said that because of this he is going to ask his soon-to-be ex wife for a 'big payout'.
Last year Bethenny sold her Skinnygirl line for an estimated $100 million and though a pre-nup was singed before their wedding Jason is apparently keen for 'compensation'.
A source told the magazine: 'He fees like he gave up his career for her.
'He basically stopped working to support her.'
